The Document Conversion Shop at the Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women is here to assist with the file management needs of our clients, especially the transition from paper to digital documents.

Document Scanning & File Creation

VCE Document Conversion prepares and scans all types of documents, from business card size to documents up to 42” in width, as well as digital images from slides, producing high quality images in the format that best meets the needs of each individual client. All scans are done at a minimum of 300 dpi resolution, with Grayscale and Color scanning available.

Full Text Search

We are capable of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for full text search and retrieval, either during image capture or with previously scanned digital images.

File Conversion Services

We can assist in the conversion of files from one digital format to another: TIFF to PDF, JPEG to PDF and many others.

Architectural & Engineering Drawings

We provide scanning of Architectural / Engineering drawings, utilizing 4 large format scanners capable of Black & White, Grayscale & Color output. We also offer Raster to Vector conversion of these drawings. This provides our customers with the ability to bring the drawings into CAD Systems. Additionally, our CAD department can assist with updating and correction of these drawings. ADDA-certified drafters are on-site.

Data Entry

Should you wish to capture metadata from your scans, Indexing and Data Entry are also among the services provided.
