Due to extreme inflationary pressures on raw materials and transportation, Virginia Correctional Enterprises will require a 50% deposit on all VCE projects totaling over $500,000.

The remaining balance due will continue to be paid under current VCE terms. No split-ordering will be accepted in order to artificially place orders under the $500K threshold.

ACA Accreditation

Virginia Correctional Enterprises (VCE) is proud to report that the Commission on Accreditation of the American Correctional Association (ACA) voted to fully re-accredit VCE for three years on January 6, 2024.

ACA accreditation is part of VCE’s commitment to excellence through continuous improvement and ongoing compliance with the ACA Performance-Based Standards for Correctional Industries which address expected practices in correctional industries and include life, health, and safety standards as it pertains to staff and inmates.

The ACA Accreditation process promotes improvement in the management of correctional agencies through the administration of a voluntary accreditation program and the ongoing development and revision of relevant, useful standards. The standards, created and continuously refined by the ACA, represent leading correctional policies, procedures, and practices across all areas of operation.

Social Media User Policy

This policy provides guidance for users of Virginia Correctional Enterprises’ social media accounts, which should be broadly understood for purposes of this policy to include blogs, wikis, microblogs, message boards, chat rooms, electronic newsletters, online forums, social networking sites, and other sites and services that permit users to share information with others in a contemporaneous manner.

PROCEDURES

The following principles apply to professional use of social media on behalf of Virginia Correctional Enterprises (VCE).

Although not an exclusive list, some specific examples of prohibited social media conduct include posting commentary, content, or images that are defamatory, pornographic, vulgar, proprietary, harassing, libelous, copyrighted, or that can be deamed hostile. Profanity is prohibited.
VCE will remove content that is considered prohibited social media content (see above).
VCE does not directly respond to user comments of any kind on any of its social media platforms. Comments should only pertain to the post in which it was commented on. Unrelated comments may be removed.

Although it can take a little time to receive your order, the furniture is very well made and worth the wait. Also, I was having a hard time finding a stand up desk to fit the size of my regular desk. Karl actually made a trip to Harrisonburg to look at my desk, measure it, and talk with me about options. Then he went back to his office, checked it out, and let me know what they could do. You don’t get that type of service much anymore!
